Live Flash
It flashes to the room, not to a timer
Most strobe apps blink on a fixed interval and drift out of time with whatever is playing within seconds. Party Flashlight listens instead. The dial reads the room in real time, you set the level the flash should fire at, and everything above that line triggers it.
A real reading, not a guess
The meter shows what the microphone is actually hearing, so you can see the level before you set the trigger.
You pick the trigger point
Set it low and the flash catches every note; set it high and it fires on the drop and nothing else.
Nothing is recorded
The microphone drives the flash and that is all it does. No audio is stored, and nothing is sent anywhere.

Each has its own timing, from a clean build to a full scramble. Blink speed stretches or tightens all of them, and every one works on the LED or on the screen.

Is Party Flashlight free?
Yes. Every light source and all ten patterns work without paying. The app is ad-supported and offers optional in-app purchases.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. Everything runs on the device, so the torch, the patterns and the sound-reactive flash all work with no connection - which is the point of a torch app.
Why does a flashlight app need the microphone?
Only for Live Flash, the mode that flashes in time with the room. The app reads how loud it is to decide when to fire the flash. No audio is recorded, stored or sent anywhere, and if you never open Live Flash the permission is never requested.
Will the strobe drain my battery?
A hard strobe on the LED is the most power-hungry thing the app does. Battery saver mode runs the same light at a much lower draw, and the optional cooldown setting puts a rest between bursts.
What is the difference between the flash and the screen light?
The camera flash is the rear LED - bright, narrow and the one you want outdoors. The screen light turns the whole display into a soft, wide lamp, and it is the only one of the two that can be a colour.
Can I change how fast it blinks?
Yes. Blink speed is set in milliseconds on its own slider, from a fast flicker up to a slow pulse.
