Written by the person who builds the apps.
Who writes the guides, who builds the apps, how the two stay in sync, and how SoftScrolls is funded.

Why SoftScrolls exists
SoftScrolls exists because most of what ranks for a money question is written to rank, not to answer. You search "how to track expenses", get two thousand words that restate the question back at you, and still end up building the spreadsheet yourself.
So the model here is the opposite way round: write the guide, then build the thing the guide tells you to do. The expense tracking guide has a budget calculator under it and Money Manager beside it, because "track your spending" stays advice until something actually tracks it.
That is the whole idea. Guides that answer the question in the first paragraph, calculators that run the numbers in your browser, and small apps that keep doing the boring part after you close the tab. No account to read anything, no email gate, no chapter two behind a form.
Three sections, one shape
Each section pairs guides with the tools that act on them, so reading and doing are not two different websites.

Shipped apps, not a roadmap. Everything else on this page is written against what these actually do.
How a guide gets made
No AI-spun filler, no rewriting the top result. The method is short enough to hold you to it.
1. Start from the question
Every guide starts from something people actually search for, and answers it in the first paragraph rather than the twelfth.
2. Do the math in public
Where a guide needs a number, there is a calculator under it that runs in your browser. You can change the inputs and check the working.
3. Use it before publishing it
The methods here are the ones we run ourselves. If a workflow is too tedious to keep up for a month, it does not go in a guide as advice.
4. Update when it changes
Guides carry the date they were last updated. When rates, rules or an app screen change, the guide changes with them instead of quietly aging.
One person, named
Money content written by an anonymous brand is worth less than money content someone puts their name on. So there is a name on it.

Founder, SoftScrolls
Jebin builds the SoftScrolls apps and writes the guides that go with them, starting with Money Manager. Every guide here describes a method already in daily use, which is why the advice and the app never say different things.
Where the money comes from
Stated up front, because on a site about money the funding is part of the advice.
Reading costs nothing and never will. The guides, the calculators and the apps are free, with no account, no trial and no paywall on the useful half.
SoftScrolls is funded by the apps, and this site may carry advertising. Where it does, ads are labelled and kept out of the way of the answer - they never decide what gets covered, what gets recommended, or how a tool is rated. Nothing on this site is a paid placement, and no recommendation is reviewed by anyone outside SoftScrolls before it goes up.
None of that makes this financial advice. The guides describe methods, not what you personally should do with your money.
Found something wrong?
A correction is more useful than a compliment. If a number is out of date, a step no longer matches the app, or a guide is just wrong, tell us and it gets fixed.
